Genius Hour Projects Today is the last day to work on your projects. We will begin presenting tomorrow. See Edmodo for instructions for final presentations and time scheduled for each of you.
Finish Alice Projects 1. Finish Alice Projects--You MUST turn in the Storyboard (12 blocks completed) and Rubric.
2. Remember that your Genius Hour Projects are due Monday. We will spend Monday finalizing everything and draw names for order of presentations. 3. You will present your projects next week. Remember that you will be presenting your projects to the class in a few weeks. I will also be video recording your presentations. I want you to take a look at this video from Ted.com. Gary Kovacs: Tracking our online trackers. Listen to the information, but I want you to pay particular attention to how he is presenting his information. The way he walks, talks, and the graphics used on the screen. The Ted Talks site has a lot of good videos. Take a few minutes and browse and pay attention to how other presenters present their information to the audience. This is what I am looking for when you present your projects. Coding...With Blockly 1. Today is the last day we will be working on the 20 hour course on Code.org/learn in class. You will receive 5 points for each stage/level completed/tried. Work on the assignments at home this weekend if you need to catch up. I will be grading your progress on Monday.

Genius Hour Projects/Make-up Day 1. You will watch the video embedded below. Follow all instructions. (Video is also posted in Edmodo). 2. Make up any assignments and submit/turn in.
3. Work on your Genius Hour Projects (researching) 4. Write one statement describing what your project is all about. Use one sentence only. This will be recorded on video next week. You should memorize your project statement and be prepared to professionally present it next week. 5. Write in your blog. It must be at least 150 words. Title it: Week 3; Answer the following questions: a) What did you accomplish this week/today relating to your Genius Project? b) What type of questions/problems do you come across that could hinder your progress in your project? c) What do you plan to accomplish next week? Make sure that you get everything finished today and don't forget about working on your projects at home and preparing/planning ahead...Genius Projects are due Monday, March 17. |
